Insensitivity is on the rise.  It’s taking the world by storm.

Disruptor is an aging buzz word in the American lexicon.  For years we’ve been hearing about disruptive technology (sometimes it only disrupts one’s inner tranquility when it doesn’t work).

Are you paying attention?  This Saturday's Powerball jackpot is already north of $625 million and climbing.  Let me spell that out: that's $625,000,000+ bucks, clams, scratch.  And with just a little bit of luck, it can be yours for a skanky little $2 bet.  Think about it: one Jefferson and you rake in racks.  Yeow!

Here we are on the last day of 2018, and it’s unclear to me how the year should be filed.  It started off on a tear.  Before reaching the end of January, the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA), a mathematical index comprised of just 30 publicly traded companies which cannot be invested in directly, reached a record level. Put it down in the history books.

America’s stock markets attained a couple of milestones this week: the longest bull market ever and, ironically, the longest correction since 1961!  How can we reconcile the two?

At our last Pie Party, Jack raised a question about basic definitions regarding terms often thrown around:  bull and bear market.   Well his question led to more questions.  What is a bull market?  When do they start?  How far must a bull market fall before it ends?
