Submitted by Atlas Indicators Investment Advisors on March 21st, 2019

Are you paying attention?  This Saturday's Powerball jackpot is already north of $625 million and climbing.  Let me spell that out: that's $625,000,000+ bucks, clams, scratch.  And with just a little bit of luck, it can be yours for a skanky little $2 bet.  Think about it: one Jefferson and you rake in racks.  Yeow!

So how hard can it be?  After all, the whole thing involves just 69 numbers and you need but to narrow that list down to six.  They can’t even double up, meaning each number only gets used once, and I figure that can only make it easier yet.  Falling off a log may be tougher, although I have done that before, and it ultimately proved relatively simple to do.  Full disclosure: I've yet to win the Powerball, but still remain undaunted.  As they say faint heart never won 625 million portraits of George Washington either.

Admittedly there has been some pushback to this entire concept.  Some would not even be willing to call it an investment.  OK, I'll go along with that.  But do the math.  You put in two bucks and come out with a lot more (if you win of course).  You more than double your money.  I did the math and it's even more than a double.  I'd tell you exactly how much more but I can't spell the actual word for it -  can't even pronounce it, so let's just say it's a whopper.

Still the faithless carp.  For instance, one cautionary tale I read suggested that if you had to drive just two miles before finding a venue at which such a ticket could be purchased, there would be a higher probability of dying (or killing someone else) than of winning the pot.  Some fool even said I would more likely be attacked by a shark and that's plum crazy right?  I mean, just avoid sharks.  Stay out of pool halls or whatever and check out the local grocery store cashier instead.

I, for one, am gonna grab my keys right now, jump in the car, and tell those folks out for a stroll to look out, here I come.                     (by J R)
